General Line Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced General Line Manager to lead our General Insurance business in Riyadh. The role will drive profitable growth across multiple product lines, overseeing underwriting, portfolio performance and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the General Insurance portfolio, setting underwriting and growth strategies.
• Monitor profitability, loss ratios and overall portfolio performance.
• Maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, reinsurers and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with reinsurance, claims, risk and actuarial teams to optimise results.
• Identify new business opportunities and stay abreast of market trends.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Prepare management reports and performance analyses.
• Lead, develop and mentor the General Insurance team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management or related field.
• Professional insurance qualifications preferred.
• Minimum 7 years experience in general insurance, underwriting or portfolio management.
• At least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of property, engineering, marine, liability and other general insurance lines.
