General Manager

About the role

The Barceló Riyadh Olaya hotel is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the property in Saudi Arabia’s fast‑growing tourism market. The role combines strategic direction, operational excellence, and financial stewardship to deliver outstanding guest experiences and strong business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across all hotel departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Sales & Marketing, Engineering, and Human Resources.
• Develop and execute business strategies that drive revenue growth, profitability, market share, and long‑term success.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cost‑control initiatives to exceed business objectives.
• Champion guest satisfaction by maintaining exceptional service standards and continuous improvement programs.
• Build, inspire, and develop high‑performing teams through coaching, mentoring, and talent development.
• Ensure compliance with local legislation, health and safety regulations, and corporate policies.
• Strengthen relationships with owners, partners, suppliers, tourism organisations, and local stakeholders.
• Maintain and elevate Barceló brand standards through rigorous quality assurance and operational excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related field; Master’s degree highly valued.
• 8–10 years of progressive leadership experience in hospitality, with at least 5 years as General Manager of a full‑service hotel.
• Proven track record of driving strong financial performance, revenue growth, market positioning and guest satisfaction.
• Comprehensive understanding of hotel operations, commercial strategy, financial management, sales and marketing, and people leadership.
