General Obstetrician/Gynecologist

About the role

Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare is hiring a General Obstetrician/Gynecologist for its Mother and Child Health Institute in Dhahran. The physician provides clinical care and consultative services to inpatients and outpatients with gynecologic disorders or who need obstetrical care, reporting to the Unit Head of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Chair of the Institute.

Key responsibilities

• Provide person-centered care and consultations to inpatients and outpatients in the area of expertise.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the highest standards of care, within the scope of privileges approved by the Credentialing and Privileging Committee.
• Complete medical documentation and reports promptly and professionally.
• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, allied health providers and administrators, and join multi-disciplinary teams.
• Share on-call duties and respond to emergency requests from the emergency rooms of all JHAH facilities.
• Take part in monthly unit, division, department and hospital meetings, and contribute to the division's educational activities such as Grand Rounds and Journal Clubs.
• Join quality improvement and committee work, and help develop policies, clinical guidelines and standard operating procedures.

Required profile

• Graduate of an approved medical school; postgraduate training in OB/GYN, preferably with a Saudi Board or equivalent.
• Three to five years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology after board certification.
• Current medical license from the country of origin.
• Ability to adapt to group practice in a medical setting.
• Arabic is preferred.
