General Surgeon – Trauma or Abdominal Wall Reconstruction

About the role

Provide high‑standard, cost‑effective General Surgical care to eligible patients at Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare, focusing on trauma surgery and abdominal wall reconstruction.

Key responsibilities

• Admit and manage in‑patients from the Emergency Department, outpatient clinics and referrals.
• Conduct daily rounds, respond to emergency calls, and participate in 24‑hour on‑call coverage.
• Perform surgical procedures, ensure proper patient preparation, and dictate operative notes promptly.
• Attend multidisciplinary team rounds, quality and safety activities, and departmental meetings.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to house staff, nursing staff, and junior physicians.
• Teach and mentor medical students, interns and junior staff.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years training in a recognized General Surgery program.
• Current certification and ability to maintain continuous medical education credits as required by licensing authorities.
• Commitment to adhere to hospital policies, patient confidentiality, and quality standards.
