General Practitioner – Physical Therapy & Rehab

About the role

The General Practitioner will deliver high‑quality medical care to patients in the Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation department of NMC Hospitals and Clinics, ensuring adherence to evidence‑based medicine, professional ethics, and Saudi Ministry of Health regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Take patient histories, perform physical examinations, and interpret common diagnostic tests.
• Conduct daily ward rounds for in‑patients and coordinate care with senior consultants.
• Admit patients from ER and OPD after appropriate discussion with the supervising consultant.
• Execute diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as bone‑marrow aspiration, biopsy, lumbar puncture, and cavity aspirations.
• Document treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, and special reports.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, morning reports, and departmental educational activities (Grand Rounds, Journal Clubs, M&M meetings).
• Educate patients and families according to the hospital’s patient‑family education policy.

Required profile

• Commitment to evidence‑based medical practice.
• Knowledge of professional medical ethics and CBAHI / JCIA standards.
• Familiarity with Ministry of Health regulations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
