Head of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) – Saudi National

About the role

Tamara, the leading fintech platform in Saudi Arabia, is seeking a senior AML professional to head its Anti‑Money Laundering, Counter‑Terrorist Financing and Proliferation Financing (AML/CTF/PF) function. Reporting to the CEO and the Audit Committee, you will shape and enforce the compliance framework across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve the AML/CTF/PF framework in line with Saudi law, SAMA requirements and SAFIU reporting obligations.
• Lead the AML/CTF unit, overseeing daily operations, alert and case management, and remediation of control gaps.
• Collaborate with business and control functions to identify financial‑crime risks and ensure consistent application of controls.
• Maintain and regularly review AML/CTF/PF policies, procedures, standards and operating controls.
• Ensure compliance with targeted financial sanctions and produce required regulatory reports.

Required profile

• Saudi national with at least 6 years (72 months) of experience in AML, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring or related financial‑crime compliance.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships and advise senior management on compliance matters.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in suspicious activity investigations and case remediation.
