Head of IT - Saudi Arabia

About the role

The Head of IT will lead the technology function across the bank’s Saudi branches, ensuring that all IT systems, platforms and infrastructure operate reliably and support business objectives. This senior position reports to the CEO of the Saudi branches and works closely with Head Office IT to align local operations with the bank’s overall IT strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures for Saudi branches in line with the bank’s global direction.
• Implement the approved IT strategy, annual objectives and operational plans within budget.
• Lead, coach and evaluate the local IT team, setting performance targets and supporting professional development.
• Participate in selection and procurement of hardware, software and services, assessing technical and financial proposals.
• Oversee data‑backup, business‑continuity, primary data‑center and disaster‑recovery site management.
• Assess business and user requirements and coordinate system and infrastructure enhancements.
• Monitor availability, reliability, performance and security of banking systems, payment platforms, applications, databases, networks and related infrastructure.
• Analyse incidents, produce reports and drive root‑cause remediation.
• Maintain information‑security controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Manage vendor relationships, ensuring contractual compliance and service delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant IT experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
