Head of Procurement

About the role

The Head of Procurement leads the organization’s local and international purchasing activities, ensuring timely acquisition of goods, materials, and services at optimal value while upholding quality standards. This senior position shapes procurement strategy, drives cost optimisation, and mitigates supply‑chain risks to support overall business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with corporate goals.
• Lead end‑to‑end sourcing, contracting, and delivery for both local and global suppliers.
• Identify, evaluate, qualify, and nurture strategic suppliers worldwide.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, contracts, and payment conditions.
• Maintain long‑term relationships with key suppliers and partners.
• Monitor performance through KPIs and report to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and governance.
• Collaborate with Planning, Operations, Sales, Warehousing, Finance and other functions.
• Develop alternative sourcing strategies and contingency plans.
• Track market trends, commodity pricing and supply‑chain developments.
• Lead, coach and develop the procurement team.
• Coordinate import, shipping, customs clearance and international logistics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, CSCP or PMP are highly preferred.
• 6–8 years of progressive procurement experience, including 3–5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in both local and international procurement.
• Background in Fragrance & Perfume, Food & Beverage (FMCG), Retail or Pharmaceuticals.
