Head of Special Projects (CEO‑adjacent)

About the role

We are seeking a sharp, execution‑focused Head of Special Projects to work directly with the CEO and senior leadership on high‑priority, cross‑functional initiatives. In this CEO‑adjacent role you will turn ambiguous, complex challenges into structured, delivered outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end execution of strategic projects assigned by the CEO, translating goals into detailed plans with milestones, owners and deadlines.
• Coordinate across Product, Operations, Sales, Finance and HR to align efforts, remove blockers and hold teams accountable without direct authority.
• Identify dependencies, risks and bottlenecks early, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Conduct deep‑dive analyses, build business cases and present insights to the executive team and board.
• Manage relationships with partners, vendors and government entities as required.
• Lead pilot programs, evaluate new business opportunities and drive change management for new initiatives.

Required profile

• 6–10 years of experience in strategy, consulting, operations or project management.
• Background in top‑tier consulting (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Big 4) or high‑growth startups is a strong plus.
• Proven track record of delivering complex, ambiguous projects on time.
• Experience working directly with C‑suite executives.
• Bilingual in Arabic and English.

Required skills

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred).
• MBA or equivalent advanced degree (preferred).
