Health and Safety Manager

About the role

The Health and Safety Manager will lead the implementation of occupational health, safety and environmental management systems in line with SAMA directives and ISO standards. The role ensures compliance with Saudi Labour Law and aims to prevent any incidents that could affect employees, customers or contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain OH&S and environmental management systems compliant with SAMA safety directives and ISO standards.
• Conduct annual fire‑warden and first‑aid training programmes.
• Identify, assess and control workplace hazards and perform risk assessments according to ISO 31000.
• Assess and report safety matters related to SBC 801 and AESA installations and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with Chapter 8 of the Saudi Labour Law (Royal Decree M/51).
• Maintain safety equipment (AEDs, first‑aid boxes, fire‑warden registers, fire‑mattress systems) and oversee regular inspections.
• Prepare regulatory reports, policy documents and emergency response plans.
• Provide training, advice and support to staff on health, safety and environmental matters.

Required profile

• NEBOSH IGC, Level 6 Diploma or an equivalent NEBOSH qualification.
• Previous experience as an Occupational Health & Safety Manager in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Fire safety manager training and proven hands‑on experience implementing health, safety and fire‑safety programmes.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct risk assessments and manage compliance with ISO standards and Saudi regulations.

Required skills

• NEBOSH certification (IGC or Level 6 Diploma).
• Fire safety management training.
• Knowledge of ISO 31000, ISO 45001 and Saudi Labour Law Chapter 8.
• Experience with safety equipment maintenance and emergency response planning.
