Health & Safety Lead Expert

About the role

The Health & Safety Lead Expert will shape and elevate ZATCA’s occupational health and safety framework across all facilities in Riyadh. The role combines research, policy development, training, and risk‑management to ensure compliance with local and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research and benchmark studies to identify best practices and market trends for health & safety.
• Develop general health & safety guidelines aligned with local and international standards, consolidating fire‑protection practices.
• Assess and select external vendors and service providers, monitoring their performance against set standards.
• Design and deliver training programs, seminars and awareness sessions for all employee categories.
• Monitor post‑training competencies and implement corrective actions to improve program effectiveness.
• Perform field studies to evaluate incidents, risks and hazards, and create risk‑management and prevention plans.
• Plan and execute safety inspections, drills and risk‑simulation exercises, recommending corrective measures.
• Lead safety risk‑management improvement projects and keep procedures up‑to‑date with industry trends.
• Provide guidance to junior staff, delegate tasks, and ensure consistent application of policies and SOPs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety (required); Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant HSE experience.
• Proven ability to develop policies, manage vendors, and lead training initiatives.
