About the role
The Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor ensures guest rooms and public areas meet Marriott's quality standards after cleaning. This role coordinates housekeeping, engineering, front office, and laundry teams to maintain room status and resolve discrepancies.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and pool areas for cleanliness and compliance.
- Run sold room reports, verify room status, prioritize cleaning, and update departing room statuses.
- Act as liaison among Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry to resolve room issues.
- Prepare and communicate changes in room assignments and shift handovers.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and coaching staff.
- Follow safety, security, and company policies; report hazards and complete required training.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related housekeeping experience.
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 55 lb unassisted and moving carts on uneven surfaces.
