Housekeeping Floor Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Floor Supervisor ensures that guest rooms, corridors and public areas on assigned floors meet Sofitel’s luxury standards. You will lead a team of Room Attendants, coordinate daily activities and act as the visible link between guests, housekeeping and other hotel departments.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily tasks of Room Attendants, conduct briefings and allocate workloads.
• Inspect rooms, corridors and public spaces for cleanliness, presentation and maintenance issues.
• Perform detailed quality checks before rooms are released in the system.
• Handle guest requests, complaints and service recovery in line with Sofitel service culture.
• Train, coach and motivate housekeeping staff, enforce grooming and uniform standards.
• Maintain accurate reports on room status, discrepancies, lost & found and maintenance requests.
• Monitor staff attendance, duty rosters and shift planning.
• Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, chemical handling and environmental standards.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Laundry and Front Office to resolve maintenance and linen issues.

Required profile

• Diploma or certification in Hospitality Management (preferred).
• Minimum 2–3 years of housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel.
• Previous supervisory experience highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals and equipment.
• Good communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Basic computer knowledge, preferably with PMS systems such as Opera.
