HSE Officer

About the role

The HSE Officer will lead health, safety and environmental initiatives for Samaa Technologies in the oil and gas sector. You will promote a safety‑first culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and support continuous improvement across all operational sites.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to verify compliance with local and international regulations.
• Develop, deliver and maintain safety training programs for all employees.
• Investigate incidents and accidents, prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor safety performance metrics and provide insights for continuous improvement.
• Assist in creating and testing emergency response plans through drills and simulations.
• Act as a liaison between management and staff to address safety concerns and foster open communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all safety‑related activities and training records.

Required profile

• Proven experience in health, safety and environmental roles within the oil and gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of local and international safety regulations and standards.
• Ability to conduct audits, investigations and produce clear reports.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
