HSE Officer - MARAFIQ Approved

About the role

Eram Talent, a talent acquisition company in the oil and energy sector, is looking for a MARAFIQ-approved HSE Officer to join its team in Yanbu. The officer ensures compliance with health, safety and environmental standards under MARAFIQ regulations and promotes a proactive safety culture. The workplace is on site.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage HSE policies and procedures in line with MARAFIQ requirements and best practice.
• Carry out regular site inspections, risk assessments and audits to identify hazards and propose corrective actions.
• Oversee HSE training and awareness programmes so that all personnel know the safety protocols.
• Investigate incidents and accidents, find their root causes and put preventive measures in place.
• Keep accurate records of HSE activities, incidents and compliance audits.
• Work with project teams and management to ensure adherence to HSE standards.
• Help draft emergency response plans and run drills.
• Perform other duties assigned to support the HSE department.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or associate degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science or a related field.
• At least 5 years of HSE experience, with a focus on MARAFIQ compliance.
• Valid MARAFIQ approval and valid Ajeer and GOSI.
• Ability to travel and work on site as required.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards and best practices.
• Experience in safety audits, inspections, risk assessments and incident investigation.
• Proven ability to design and deliver HSE training programmes.
• Certification such as NEBOSH or IOSH is highly desirable.
• Good communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills; emergency preparedness knowledge is an asset.
