HVAC/R Technician

About the role

The HVAC/R Technician will ensure the efficient operation of heating, ventilation, air‑conditioning and refrigeration systems across our district facilities. You will work with energy management tools to maintain optimal room temperatures and support the comfort of our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Perform repairs, routine servicing and preventive maintenance on HVAC, VAV and refrigeration units.
• Operate, program and maintain the energy management system for temperature control.
• Diagnose and program HVAC control systems using desktop and handheld computers.
• Carry out skilled electrical work on HVAC equipment, including wiring, timers and motors.
• Install and inspect natural gas lines, check for leaks and service heating systems.
• Test chilled‑water, water‑tower and boiler operations, monitoring gauges and meters.
• Lubricate, pack and maintain motors, pumps, fans and bearings.
• Use hand and power tools, solder/brazing equipment, vacuum pumps and freon recovery units safely.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 month experience in HVAC/R maintenance or a related field.
• Ability to work safely with electrical and gas systems.
• Willingness to perform on‑site inspections and repairs.
