ICU Registrar – Hospital Medicine

About the role

The ICU Registrar provides comprehensive inpatient care within the intensive care unit, ensuring high‑quality medical treatment aligned with evidence‑based practice, professional ethics, and Saudi health regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Take patient histories, perform physical examinations, and document admission details.
• Admit patients from the Emergency Department after consultant approval.
• Develop and execute investigation and management plans in collaboration with consultants.
• Conduct daily ward rounds, update progress notes, and maintain accurate medical records.
• Prepare discharge summaries, death reports, and special patient reports.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and respond to emergencies.
• Assist senior consultants with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Supervise junior staff and ensure patient confidentiality and security.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years (36 months) of relevant clinical experience.
• Ability to work under supervision of senior consultants.
• Strong communication skills with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to continuous learning and adherence to hospital by‑laws.
