Inbound Logistics Officer – Inbound Custom Clearance

About the role

The Inbound Logistics Officer will manage the end‑to‑end import process, ensuring purchase orders, shipping documents and customs clearance are handled accurately and on time. You will act as the main liaison between suppliers, customs brokers, warehouses and internal buyers.

Key responsibilities

• Create import purchase orders according to trade agreements and company policy, securing required approvals.
• Communicate purchase orders and shipping requirements to suppliers and obtain confirmation.
• Track shipment status weekly, update the import matrix daily, and share updates with relevant departments.
• Collect original shipping documents, verify compliance with Saudi customs, and submit them to the customs broker.
• Coordinate with the warehouse to prepare for arrivals and record landed cost at the PO level.
• Monitor receiving status, report short or damaged goods within 48 hours, and inform suppliers.
• Obtain supplier statements of account, follow up on payments, and send payment confirmations.
• Prepare monthly analysis and service‑level reports for all import suppliers and shipments.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in FMCG retail logistics or import operations.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• High level of interpersonal skills for handling sensitive documentation.
