Infrastructure Specialist – System Administrator

About the role

The Specialist, Infrastructure (System Admin) provides essential administrative support to the IT team, ensuring smooth server operations and daily office functionality while handling IT‑specific administrative tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain server infrastructure aligned with business needs.
• Monitor and optimise server performance to guarantee high availability.
• Conduct regular system audits, security assessments and apply patches.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot server hardware and software components.
• Implement and manage virtualization technologies for efficient resource utilisation.
• Develop, test and maintain backup and recovery procedures.
• Provide technical support for server‑related incidents and on‑call 24/7 emergency response.
• Produce regular reports on performance, capacity and security.
• Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver effective IT solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a System Administrator or in a related role.
• Experience providing L1/L2 support for network printers, Microsoft Teams, Outlook and Exchange.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Identity technologies, including Active Directory and Group Policies.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure Active Directory and Office 365 integration.
• Strong knowledge of DNS, DHCP, WINS and DFS in Windows Server environments.
• Ability to manage backup, recovery and endpoint protection solutions.
• Proven experience with virtualization platforms.
• High level of confidentiality and strong organisational skills.
