In‑House Counsel

About the role

FTG Development is seeking an experienced In‑House Counsel to join its Legal Affairs team at the regional headquarters in Riyadh. The role will provide day‑to‑day legal support for the company’s Saudi operations and assist with projects across the Middle East.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts such as construction, procurement, services, leases, NDAs and partnership agreements.
• Provide practical legal advice on commercial, corporate and contractual matters affecting the group’s activities.
• Advise management on labor and employment law compliance, primarily in Saudi Arabia.
• Support corporate governance, company structuring and regulatory/compliance requirements.
• Identify, assess and mitigate legal risks across projects and operations.
• Coordinate and manage outsourced legal service providers and external counsel throughout the region.
• Maintain organized records of contracts, legal correspondence and corporate documentation.
• Stay up‑to‑date with relevant legislation and regulatory developments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.); a relevant master’s degree or professional qualification is a plus.
• Minimum five years of relevant legal experience, preferably as an in‑house or company lawyer.

Required skills

• Strong expertise in commercial law with solid knowledge of corporate, contract and labor law.
• Good understanding of the Middle‑East legal and regulatory environment, especially Saudi Arabia.
• Excellent written and verbal English; Arabic fluency is a strong advantage.
