Installation Engineer - Elevators & Escalators

About the role

KONE is looking for an Installation Engineer in Riyadh to manage and control elevator and escalator projects from sales and installation hand-over until completion and handover to maintenance. The supervisor leads and manages the installation team to deliver KONE solutions safely, on time and within budget, acts as the interface with customers and other stakeholders, and supports the sales team in pre-tender and tender activities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the installation project safely and on schedule, including site safety, environmental aspects and financial results
• Take part in the sales/installation hand-over and validate the customer's order terms with the salesperson
• Plan and organise delivery and storage of materials and tools, and place orders to subcontractors and non-KONE suppliers
• Prepare the site and follow up site readiness, using correct KONE installation methods
• Work with accounts payable and controlling so site activities match contractual payment terms
• Carry out final equipment testing and handover to maintenance
• Manage customer satisfaction, subcontractor quality and safety, and act as the single point of contact for site management
• Develop and lead the site team, set objectives, plan and train operatives, and manage their performance

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
• 3-5 years of experience in the elevator and escalator industry
• Strong project management, problem-solving and leadership skills
• Effective communication and negotiation with contractors, clients and stakeholders
• Excellent verbal and written English and Arabic
