Site HVAC Engineer

About the role

CLEAR is looking for an experienced Site HVAC Engineer in Riyadh to oversee and supervise all heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) works on construction projects. The engineer ensures installations follow approved drawings, project specifications, codes, quality standards and schedules, working with consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor HVAC installation works on site against approved drawings, specifications and contract requirements.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements and technical documentation.
• Coordinate HVAC activities with architecture, structure, electrical, plumbing and fire protection disciplines.
• Inspect ductwork, piping, insulation, equipment installation and workmanship; monitor contractor performance and schedule adherence.
• Verify equipment such as chillers, AHUs, FCUs, ventilation and exhaust systems and ductwork.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, international standards and health and safety requirements.
• Witness testing, balancing, commissioning and functional performance of HVAC systems.
• Prepare and review inspection requests, testing reports, snag lists, punch lists and close-out documentation.
• Take part in coordination meetings, review as-built drawings before handover, evaluate variations and change orders, and maintain inspection and testing records.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or HVAC Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience supervising HVAC works on construction projects.
• Experience in commercial, residential, healthcare, hospitality, industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Professional engineering registration or relevant accreditation preferred.

Required skills

• AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks and Microsoft Office.
• HVAC testing, adjusting and balancing (TAB), commissioning and QA/QC procedures.
• Project management and document control software experience is an advantage.
