Junior Maintenance Technician – Material Handling Systems

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Maintenance Technician to support material handling systems, ensuring equipment availability, safety and quality. The role involves reactive maintenance calls and routine upkeep of a variety of mechanical and electrical assets within an airport environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance duties and respond to reactive calls on material handling equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain machinery such as motors, electrical circuits, ATR systems, baggage handling equipment and conveyor systems.
• Interpret diagrams, electrical drawings, operational manuals and manufacturer specifications.
• Use hand tools and precision measuring and testing instruments to carry out work.

Required profile

• Diploma or higher in Electrical/Electromechanical engineering.
• Minimum 3 years experience in electro‑mechanical or electrical maintenance.
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical drawings/prints.
• At least 2 years material handling experience (preferable).
• Minimum 1 year experience with a CMMS.
• Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and basic PLC/PC control knowledge.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an airport ID badge.
