Key Account Manager – Biosimilars

About the role

Abbott is seeking a Key Account Manager – Biosimilars to lead its government business in Riyadh. The role focuses on driving sales of Abbott’s biologic and biosimilar portfolio across central and northern government hospitals, ensuring consistent growth and market adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets for the biosimilar portfolio in assigned government hospitals.
• Develop and execute account plans to increase biosimilar uptake, switching strategies and penetration.
• Lead and secure governmental tenders, ensuring competitive positioning and compliance.
• Engage strategically with key stakeholders to support biosimilar adoption and address efficacy, safety and interchangeability concerns.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including expanding indications and converting originator biologics.
• Monitor market trends, competitor biosimilars, pricing dynamics and tender outcomes.
• Support formulary inclusion and product listing in key institutions.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with medical, market access and regulatory teams for successful product launches and lifecycle management.

Required profile

• Proven ability to drive consistent sales growth and meet targets in a government‑focused pharmaceutical environment.
• Experience managing key accounts and leading tender processes.
• Strong understanding of biosimilars, biologics and market access strategies.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with decision‑makers in hospitals and health authorities.
