Kitchen and Laundry Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Kitchen and Laundry Maintenance Technician is based in the Engineering Department of Mandarin Oriental Al Faisaliah Riyadh. You will ensure that all kitchen and laundry equipment operates safely, efficiently, and without interruption, supporting the hotel’s high standards of guest service and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections, servicing, and repairs of kitchen and laundry equipment such as dishwashers, ovens, deep fryers, steamers, mixers, refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, ironers and extractors.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and keep accurate service records.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and repair requests to minimise downtime.
• Monitor and maintain gas, electrical, steam and water connections associated with the equipment.
• Support installation and commissioning of new machines when required.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and maintain clean, safe work areas.
• Assist engineering team members with general maintenance tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience maintaining kitchen and laundry equipment in a hospitality or similar environment.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and respond quickly to urgent repair needs.
• Strong understanding of safety and hygiene standards, including lockout/tagout procedures.
• Willingness to collaborate with other engineering staff and contribute to overall hotel operations.
