Laboratory Technician – Road & Infrastructure Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Laboratory Technician to lead quality control testing for our road and infrastructure project in Riyadh. The role involves overseeing the on‑site laboratory, ensuring accurate material testing, and supporting the project’s compliance with international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory and field tests on soil, aggregates, concrete and asphalt according to AASHTO, ASTM and project specifications.
• Conduct systematic on‑site sampling of raw materials and fresh mixes to guarantee representative testing.
• Record, calculate and document all test results in standardized formats, maintaining audit‑ready logs.
• Maintain and assist in calibration of testing equipment and ensure proper upkeep of the laboratory.
• Report any non‑conformities immediately to the QA/QC Manager and support corrective actions.
• Manage sample labeling, storage and tracking to ensure correct curing and testing timelines.
• Coordinate testing schedules with site engineers and batching plants to align with construction progress.
• Uphold health and safety standards within the laboratory environment.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Science or a related technical field.
• 20+ years of quality‑control experience in construction and infrastructure projects.
• Minimum 10 years of hands‑on experience in construction site laboratories, including supervision.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Detail‑oriented, disciplined and able to ensure test accuracy and proper documentation.
