Lead Auditor

About the role
The Lead Auditor will oversee and conduct comprehensive audits of real estate transactions, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies. This senior‑level position requires an experienced professional who can guide audit teams, analyze complex cases, and provide clear audit conclusions.
Key responsibilities
- Stay up‑to‑date with real estate tax systems, GAAP, and audit standards.
- Develop and maintain valuation templates, audit tools, and disposition manuals.
- Classify and prioritize audit schedules for SMEs, routing them to appropriate audit teams.
- Verify legal real estate documents, declarations, and ensure completeness before tax liability assessment.
- Gather data for office audits, liaise with account managers, banks, government bodies, and legal affairs.
- Study and evaluate transactions, trace records from source documents to accounting entries, and consult the Regional Audit Team on discrepancies.
- Identify high‑risk issues, detect non‑compliant cases, and communicate risks to internal stakeholders.
- Conduct field audit visits, interview representatives, and advise on obligations, penalties, and rights.
Required profile
- Experienced professional capable of working with general directions and solving escalated problems.
- Strong analytical abilities to understand, solve, and address complex audit challenges.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with diverse stakeholders.
