About the role

The Lead Auditor will oversee and execute comprehensive audits of real estate transactions, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies. This senior position requires a strong analytical mindset to resolve complex issues escalated from junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Stay updated on real estate tax systems, GAAP, and audit standards.
• Develop and maintain valuation templates and audit tools to support transaction audits.
• Update audit manuals, eligibility criteria, and legal requirements, integrating them into computer‑aided audit systems.
• Classify and prioritize audit schedules for SMEs, directing them to appropriate audit teams.
• Validate legal real estate documents, verify declarations, and ensure completeness before tax liability assessment.
• Gather data for office audits, liaise with account managers, banks, government bodies, and legal affairs.
• Analyze transactions, trace records to source documents, and consult regional teams on discrepancies.
• Identify high‑risk issues, detect non‑compliance, and communicate risks to internal stakeholders.
• Conduct field audit visits, investigate records, and advise on obligations, penalties, and rights.
• Consolidate legal and financial findings to recommend audit responsibilities for real estate transfers.
