Legal Counsel

About the role

The Legal Counsel will provide commercial legal support to S-Chem and its affiliated entities, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and protecting the business from legal exposure. This role works closely with the General Counsel and other departments to manage contracts, negotiations, and dispute resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on agreements and contracts related to routine operations.
• Assist in negotiations and communications with counterparties to protect business interests.
• Support the General Counsel with compliance requirements and ethical standards.
• Draft, review, and revise contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Conduct compliance investigations and manage legal disputes through negotiation or litigation.
• Research legal matters, including regulatory compliance, tax, and insurance issues.
• Liaise with external counsel and maintain confidential legal documentation.
• Contribute to the design of operating policies to mitigate legal risk.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law.
• 2‑3 years post‑qualification experience (total 4‑5 years including training).
• Licensed to practice law in Saudi Arabia or equivalent qualification in another jurisdiction.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating international commercial agreements in English.
