Legal General Counsel – 3-Month Interim Role

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Legal General Counsel to join on a three-month interim basis. The role will act as the lead architect of the legal framework for a major Saudi supply-chain operation, ensuring compliance with Kingdom laws and safeguarding commercial interests.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and manage the legal team, fostering a high-performance culture during the transition.
• Partner with the CEO, Board and senior executives to translate corporate strategy into legal objectives and deliverables.
• Oversee corporate governance, including drafting entity documents, resolutions, consents and filings.
• Provide strategic legal advice on statutory compliance, commercial risk and regulatory matters.
• Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial agreements across logistics, procurement, IT and construction.
• Standardise contract templates and implement streamlined legal processes.
• Monitor KSA regulatory developments affecting procurement and logistics and advise on necessary adaptations.
• Represent the organisation before Saudi government bodies, regulatory authorities and trade associations.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (JD), LL.M. or equivalent from an internationally recognised law school.
• Licensed to practice law by the Saudi Ministry of Justice (KSA Bar).
• Minimum 16 years of post-qualification experience providing senior legal counsel in corporate, top-tier law firm, government or consultancy settings within Saudi Arabia.
• Immediate availability or minimal notice period.
