Litigation Lawyer

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Litigation Lawyer to join JP Legal’s team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves representing clients before Saudi courts and judicial bodies, handling a range of disputes and ensuring compliance with local laws.

Key responsibilities

• Represent clients before General Courts, Commercial Courts, Labor Courts, and administrative or quasi‑judicial committees.
• Draft, review and submit pleadings, statements of claim, defenses, appeals and legal memoranda.
• Attend hearings, court sessions and meetings with judges, notaries and government authorities.
• Manage litigation files from initiation through resolution, including enforcement proceedings.
• Conduct legal research, provide opinions and advise on litigation strategies, risk assessment and dispute‑resolution options.
• Coordinate with clients, experts and internal teams to gather evidence and prepare cases.
• Monitor changes in Saudi laws, regulations and court practices and ensure compliance with platforms such as Najiz.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B); Master’s degree is a plus.
• Licensed to practice law in Saudi Arabia (Saudi Bar Association license preferred).
• 3–7 years of litigation experience in Saudi courts.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi civil, commercial, labor and enforcement laws, and Sharia principles as applied by the courts.
• Excellent legal drafting and advocacy skills in Arabic; English proficiency is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Saudi judicial electronic systems such as Najiz.
