Logistics Buyer – Consumables & Engineering Spares

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Logistics Buyer who will manage the procurement of consumables, engineering spares, maintenance materials, tools and operational supplies. The role ensures timely availability of critical items to support warehouse operations, equipment reliability and production continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Source and purchase logistics consumables, engineering spares, maintenance materials, PPE, tools and warehouse supplies.
• Obtain quotations, conduct commercial evaluations and issue purchase orders following company procedures.
• Maintain supplier relationships, monitor performance on quality, delivery, pricing and service, and negotiate improvements.
• Collaborate with logistics, warehouse, maintenance, engineering and operations teams to understand material needs and prioritize urgent requirements.
• Support urgent procurement during equipment breakdowns or emergencies.
• Monitor stock levels, consumption patterns and identify opportunities for inventory optimisation and cost reduction.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, update ERP system and prepare regular purchasing reports.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes and implementation of new systems.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented with strong organisational skills.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with logistics, maintenance and engineering teams.
• Good analytical mindset to monitor costs and inventory trends.
• Effective communication and negotiation abilities.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP procurement modules.
