Maintenance Engineer

About the role

As a Maintenance Engineer within Hilton’s hotel portfolio, you will ensure the building and its systems operate safely and efficiently while delivering the warm hospitality experience guests expect.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train, supervise and mentor a high‑performing maintenance team.
• Oversee the upkeep of mechanical, electrical, HVAC and life‑safety systems, ensuring compliance with national and local regulations.
• Prioritise and track daily maintenance tasks and service requests through the property maintenance management system.
• Support capital projects and property rehabilitations, handling scheduling, budgeting, contractor bidding and permitting.
• Develop and manage property‑wide energy‑conservation initiatives to reduce utility costs.
• Monitor departmental KPIs such as equipment uptime, audit results and team productivity, driving continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with hotel leadership on evacuation procedures, duty‑manager coverage and other safety protocols.
