Maintenance Worker (Heavy Equipment)

About the role

The Maintenance Worker is responsible for keeping heavy equipment operating safely, reliably and efficiently. This role involves both preventive and corrective work on mechanical and electrical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on heavy equipment.
• Inspect equipment to detect mechanical and electrical faults.
• Diagnose and repair identified problems.
• Replace defective or worn components.
• Test equipment after maintenance to confirm proper operation.
• Report major faults and maintenance needs to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders.
• Follow all company health, safety and environmental (HSE) procedures.
• Keep tools and the workshop clean and organized.
• Ensure maintenance tasks are completed safely and on schedule.

Required profile

• High school diploma or technical/vocational certificate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
• Experience in heavy‑equipment maintenance.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems of heavy equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and repair equipment faults.
• Proficiency in using maintenance tools safely.
• Basic understanding of maintenance manuals and technical instructions.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to safety procedures and company policies.
