Manager Retail Collection Strategy

About the role

The Manager Retail Collection Strategy is responsible for shaping and executing the collections approach for retail (consumer) lending products. This role ensures that collection processes are efficient, customer‑centric, and aligned with the bank’s risk appetite and digital transformation goals.

Key responsibilities

• Define, monitor, and document the retail collections strategy and related process enhancements.
• Lead collection‑system projects that use data‑driven, customer‑centric methods to balance cost efficiency with recovery optimization.
• Conduct collection operations reviews, keep stakeholders informed of performance, and identify optimization opportunities.
• Drive process re‑engineering through system‑based automation and maximum digital adoption.
• Propose and lead strategic initiatives that strengthen collections capabilities and support long‑term business growth.
• Ensure collections policies are updated to meet portfolio targets, control delinquency, provisions, write‑offs, and improve recoveries.
• Define, monitor, and align key risk indicators with risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
• Design and implement omnichannel collection strategies (SMS, email, agency, bank apps, etc.) with a digital‑first focus.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience.
• At least 6 years of experience in consumer lending, collections, portfolio analytics, portfolio management, and credit policy formulation.
• Strong portfolio analytical abilities and deep knowledge of collections‑related regulations.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting complex strategies and performance metrics.
