Master - MPSV (Offshore Support Vessel)

About the role

POSH Fleet Services is looking for a Master to join its professional maritime command team. The Master is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel, overall command of the ship and crew, compliance with international and company regulations, and the delivery of operational and commercial objectives. The role reports to company management and covers navigation, safety, crew management, cargo operations oversight and the vessel's Safety Management System.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the safe and efficient management of the vessel to the satisfaction of Owners and Charterers, acting as the Company Representative
• Protect the health, safety, security, cyber security and welfare of all personnel and the environment
• Maintain operational records, keep certifications up to date and implement the Shipboard Management System, including regular Master's Reviews
• Act as the client's and diving operator's (if relevant) contact person on board and advise the Owner of any deviations from contract requirements
• Report deficiencies affecting seaworthiness or navigation to Class, Flag State and Port Authorities before port entry
• Chair the Vessel Safety Committee, organise safety meetings and emergency drills, and motivate the crew to follow the safety management system
• Be overall in charge of emergency responses and medical care on board, and refer serious cases offboard
• Follow IMCA guidelines for Dynamic Positioning where applicable

Required profile

• Certificate of Competency as per STCW Regulation II/2 and valid STCW endorsements
• Valid medical certificate
• DP Unlimited license (for DP vessels only)
• At least 12 months of experience in rank and a similar type of vessel
• Willingness to accept seagoing command with rotational deployments, including extended periods at sea

Required skills

• Dynamic positioning awareness and familiarity with offshore operations
• Prior command experience on AHTS, offshore support or energy-sector vessels is highly desirable
• Advantageous: training in advanced leadership, crisis management or ISM/ISO internal auditing
• Strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills and stakeholder relationship management
