Materials Inspector

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Inspector to join our Project and Construction Management team in Riyadh. The role focuses on civil engineering and transportation projects, including roads, highways, bridges, and tunnels, ensuring that all onsite materials meet technical specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of materials delivered to the site for compliance with approved submittals, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Verify material certifications, test results, and compliance documents before approval and usage.
• Monitor storage, handling, and protection measures to ensure standards are met.
• Coordinate with contractors, QA/QC teams, and discipline engineers to resolve discrepancies or non‑conformities.
• Assist in reviewing material‑related submittals and test reports.
• Ensure rejected or non‑compliant materials are removed according to quality procedures.
• Maintain inspection logs, reports, and documentation for all inspected materials.
• Participate in site meetings on material acceptance and quality matters.
• Support implementation of project quality management systems within the materials domain.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in civil engineering, materials engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Over 7 years of experience in project management on mega construction projects, with a focus on onsite activities.
• Strong understanding of construction, design, engineering principles, local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Excellent communication, report writing, teamwork, problem‑solving, and autonomy.
