Mechanical Engineer – Elevator Division

About the role

The Mechanical Engineer in the elevator division is responsible for managing project plans, directing activities and coordinating with key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. The role ensures that project objectives are achieved in scope, schedule, budget and quality while acting as the primary liaison for supply‑line activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage internal project plans and direct project activities.
• Coordinate with all stakeholders during the entire project lifecycle.
• Ensure delivery within scope, schedule, budget and quality using Al‑Futtaim Engineering & Technologies (AFET) project management methodologies.
• Serve as the single point of contact for supply‑line projects during execution, handling equipment orders, design, quality, sourcing and logistics planning.
• Manage project variations, scope changes and change‑management activities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, distribute technical information and implement approved changes.
• Lead and mentor the project team, participating in steering‑group meetings.
• Oversee resource planning, financial reporting, audits, handovers and final project closure.
• Share responsibility for cost control and be accountable for the financial results of the supply line.

Required profile

• Mechanical engineering background with experience in project management.
• Proven ability to coordinate multi‑disciplinary supply‑chain activities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Leadership capability to develop and mentor project teams.
