Mechanical Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical Engineer will provide on‑floor engineering support to operations and maintenance, ensuring safe, reliable plant performance while driving automation, upgrades, and process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Support operations & maintenance by troubleshooting equipment, evaluating system capabilities, and generating mechanical requirements for projects.
• Lead capital projects, plant system upgrades, and scalable transformation initiatives.
• Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing equipment such as conveyors, automated stacking, batching, and combustion furnaces.
• Read, modify, and create technical drawings, schematics, and computer‑generated models.
• Provide training and technical support to Maintenance and Production teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of equipment safety systems, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics, and industrial equipment troubleshooting.
• Experience in continuous process automation plants and leading engineering projects.
• Familiarity with fluid systems (air, cooling water, pure water) and NFPA codes.

Required skills

• AutoCAD or other CAD packages.
• Mechanical design, fabrication, and manufacturing support.
• Preventative and predictive maintenance practices.
• Knowledge of conveyors, air compressors, fan alignment, mixers, chiller systems, cooling towers, R/O and DI plants, generators.
