Mechanical Foreman - Gas Plants and Pipelines

About the role

Eram Talent is recruiting a Mechanical Foreman based in Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia, to supervise and lead the mechanical maintenance of equipment in gas plants and pipeline systems. The role covers preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance, with a focus on safety, quality and coordination with operations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and carry out preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment in gas plants and pipelines.
• Lead and manage mechanical technicians and fitters, ensuring safe and efficient work.
• Ensure strict compliance with HSE policies, permit-to-work systems and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with operations to plan maintenance, shutdowns and equipment isolation, and assign daily tasks and monitor progress.
• Troubleshoot equipment and support root cause analysis of failures.
• Verify job quality, inspect work and confirm equipment readiness before handover to operations.
• Manage tools, spare parts and materials, support inventory control and spare management, and prepare and close work orders, reports and equipment history records.
• Support plant start-up, shutdown and emergency maintenance, and provide on-the-job training and mentoring to technicians.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• 5-8 years of hands-on experience maintaining gas plants and pipeline systems.
• Expertise in static equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping, valves) and rotary equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers).

Required skills

• SAP PM for maintenance work orders, notifications and history tracking is preferred.
• Hands-on knowledge of gas plant and pipeline mechanical systems.
• Maintenance planning and execution, equipment troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Leadership, communication and basic computer skills.
