Medical Advisor Oncology/Specialty (Saudi National)

About the role

AbbVie is seeking a Saudi‑national Medical Advisor specialized in Oncology and related therapeutic areas. The role will serve as the affiliate’s scientific voice, providing expert medical guidance to external experts and supporting the development and execution of medical affairs strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a brand team member, contributing medical and scientific input to marketing strategies and commercial initiatives.
• Develop and maintain in‑depth knowledge of assigned products and therapeutic area through internal training, congress attendance and self‑study of national literature.
• Provide expert medical advice to external experts, respond to scientific queries, and ensure the scientific accuracy of core dossiers such as pricing, reimbursement, HEOR and medical information packs.
• Establish and nurture professional relationships with external experts and academic centers, including participation in scientific congresses, advisory boards and round‑table meetings.
• Deliver scientific presentations and medical education programs to healthcare professionals individually or in group settings.
• Screen relevant literature and conference data, summarising key scientific messages for internal use.

Required profile

• Saudi national with a degree in medicine, pharmacy, or a related life‑science discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in medical affairs, preferably within oncology or a related specialty.
• Strong understanding of the Saudi healthcare environment, reimbursement and regulatory processes.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with external experts and internal cross‑functional teams.

• Experience delivering scientific presentations and medical education.
