Medical Registrar

About the role

The Registrar provides comprehensive inpatient care, ensuring high-quality medical treatment in line with professional ethics, JCIA standards and Saudi Ministry of Health regulations. Working within NMC hospitals and clinics, the role involves patient admission, assessment, and coordination of care under consultant supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Admit patients from the emergency department after consultant approval.
• Take medical histories, perform physical examinations and interpret basic diagnostic tests.
• Develop and document investigation and management plans in collaboration with consultants and senior registrars.
• Conduct daily ward rounds, update progress notes and maintain accurate medical records.
• Assist consultants in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures and participate in on-call duties.
• Prepare discharge summaries, death reports and special patient reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 36 months of relevant clinical experience.
• Medical degree or equivalent qualification (specific qualifications not stated).
• Ability to work under supervision and follow hospital by-laws and quality plans.
