Medical Science Liaison

About the role

The Pharmaceutical company is seeking a Medical Science Liaison to join its Medical Affairs team in Riyadh. The role focuses on building scientific relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals within the rare diseases therapeutic area.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain credible scientific relationships with KOLs and healthcare professionals in rare diseases.
• Identify, engage, and collaborate with physicians, researchers, and specialists involved in rare disease management.
• Gather and communicate medical insights, treatment gaps, unmet patient needs, and emerging scientific trends to internal cross‑functional teams.
• Support Medical Affairs activities such as advisory boards, scientific meetings, congresses, and educational initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Affairs or a closely related scientific role within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
• Previous experience in rare diseases is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of clinical research, scientific literature, clinical trials, and evidence‑based medicine.
• Demonstrated experience engaging with KOLs and specialist physicians.
