Operations Continuity & Emergency Planning Senior Engineer

About the role

The Operations Continuity & Emergency Planning Senior Engineer will lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of continuity and emergency preparedness programs for the railway sector. You will work closely with internal teams to identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure the organization can respond effectively to disruptions.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with internal teams to identify potential risks within SAR infrastructure, systems, and equipment.
• Analyze disruption scenarios and their impact on specific systems and components.
• Develop and recommend mitigation strategies to ensure operational continuity.
• Design comprehensive emergency exercise plans that align with standards and cover a range of scenarios.
• Coordinate the implementation of exercise plans and foster a culture of readiness.
• Monitor and evaluate emergency exercises, providing feedback to improve performance.
• Support incident response teams in testing documented plans.
• Analyze business function impacts to define acceptable recovery times and resource needs.
• Research emerging technologies and best practices for operational continuity in the railway industry.
• Contribute to the development and review of OCEP standards and protocols.
• Analyze data from exercises and incidents to identify resource allocation gaps and propose optimization recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Transport, Logistics, Management, Railway Operations or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of the Kingdom’s railway industry, contractual matrix, and regulatory regime.
• Experience in planning and emergency preparedness.
