Operations Manager for CCGT Power Plant

About the role

The Operations Manager will lead the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the CCGT power plant in Rumah, Saudi Arabia. This senior role is responsible for operational planning, workforce management, performance monitoring and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise plant operations including start‑up, shutdown, planned outages and emergency activities.
• Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining operational standards and reporting.
• Participate in technical decisions on plant design, specifications and improvements.
• Manage workforce allocation, competency development, training and performance evaluation.
• Prepare and monitor operating budget, control costs and conduct regular operational meetings.
• Implement IMS, HSE, environmental, legal and safety procedures, and lead incident investigations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (required); postgraduate specialization in Power Plant Engineering preferred.
• 13–16 years of experience in power generation, desalination or RO plants, preferably CCGT.
• Experience in similar Middle‑East plants is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of CCGT and power plant operations.
• Expertise in HSE, Quality and Environmental Management System principles.
• Hazard risk assessment, environmental impact assessment, waste management and spill containment.
• Incident investigation, root‑cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
