About the role
The Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacists in delivering safe and accurate medication services within a hospital setting. This role ensures efficient pharmacy operations, maintains inventory control, and upholds patient safety and regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing, dispensing, packaging, and labelling medications according to approved procedures.
- Receive, store, and manage medication inventory while ensuring appropriate stock levels and proper storage conditions.
- Process prescriptions and maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.
- Support inventory control activities, including stock rotation, expiry monitoring, and medication replenishment.
- Comply with medication safety standards, infection‑prevention practices, and hospital policies at all times.
Required profile
- Diploma in Pharmacy Technology or a related field.
- Valid SCFHS classification and registration.
- Healthcare or hospital experience is preferred.
