PMO Consultant – Finance (Project Management & Financial Planning)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced PMO Consultant with a strong finance background to support governance, financial planning, budgeting, reporting and cost‑control activities across business and transformation initiatives. The role bridges project management office processes with financial oversight to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and with accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Support PMO governance and ensure effective project management processes, controls and reporting.
• Lead and coordinate financial planning and budgeting activities for projects and transformation initiatives.
• Monitor project financial performance, including costs, budgets, forecasts and variances.
• Prepare and consolidate financial and PMO reports for management and key stakeholders.
• Support cost control to keep projects aligned with approved financial plans.
• Track project financial commitments, expenditure and overall budget utilization.
• Coordinate with Finance, Project Managers and business stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
• Identify financial risks, budget deviations and areas requiring management attention.
• Maintain PMO documentation, governance reports, financial trackers and project performance information.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of PMO processes, reporting and financial controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Project Management or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience, including 3–5+ years in PMO or project financial management.
• Strong professional experience in finance‑related environments combined with PMO/project management experience.
• PMP certification (mandatory).
• Strong analytical and financial reporting skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with financial/project reporting tools.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines.
