Principal Structural Geologist

About the role

The Principal Structural Geologist will lead technical strategy for mining and infrastructure projects across Saudi Arabia and globally. Reporting to the Consulting Manager, this senior position combines business development, project delivery, and expert guidance on structural geology, geohazard assessment, and geological modeling.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full project lifecycle from feasibility studies to closure for major mining programs.
• Serve as the company’s subject‑matter expert on structural geology and lead advanced studies such as fault system analysis, lineament mapping, and 3D geological modeling.
• Integrate structural interpretations with geophysical, geochemical, and geotechnical data to build predictive geological models.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for structural data collection, core orientation QC, and detailed mapping.
• Provide expert advice on exploration strategies, risk assessments, resource estimation, and geohazard mitigation.
• Lead geohazard assessments, slope stability modeling, and pit‑wall engineering for mine and infrastructure projects.
• Mentor junior geologists and collaborate with geotechnical, geophysical, and engineering teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years (180 months) of experience in structural geology, preferably in mining or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary consulting teams and delivering complex geological models.
• Strong business development mindset with ability to identify growth opportunities.
