Protection Coordinator Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Protection Coordinator Engineer to lead the design, coordination, testing and commissioning of electrical protection systems for our power grid. The role ensures network reliability and safety by managing end‑to‑end protection schemes and collaborating with grid operators, utilities and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve technical submittals, protection documents and drawings.
• Perform complex protection coordination studies to guarantee grid reliability.
• Lead testing and commissioning of protection relays and control systems.
• Verify wiring, logic schemes, interlocking and tripping circuits.
• Supervise end‑to‑end testing of protection schemes.
• Coordinate closely with grid operators, utilities, consultants and contractors.
• Produce technical reports and commissioning documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 10–15 years of experience in protection relay configuration, coordination and substation systems.
• Strong knowledge of IEC and IEEE standards and local utility requirements.
• Excellent cross‑discipline coordination, communication and technical reporting skills.
