Radiology Technique Specialist

About the role

The Radiology Technique Specialist will perform diagnostic radiographs, maintain X‑ray equipment and film processors, and handle radiology requests and reports while ensuring strict compliance with clinic regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiological procedures by positioning, adjusting immobilisation devices and equipment.
• Communicate with patients to reduce anxiety, explain procedures and answer questions.
• Apply radiation protection techniques, use beam‑restrictive devices and patient shielding to minimise exposure.
• Maintain production quality of radiographs by following standards, reviewing images and making adjustments.
• Maintain and clean X‑ray equipment and film processors daily.
• Adhere to infection‑control policies to protect patients and staff.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment in line with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Update professional knowledge through workshops and publications.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Applied Medical Science – Radiology.
• Minimum 2 years of practical experience after graduation.
• Fluent in English and Arabic (spoken and written).
• Proficient with Office & Health Information Systems.
